It is a stylish looking phone with a decent size and an ample robust feel to it. The phone at first glance looks similar to long phones, but is slightly narrower than one would expect. The front casing of the phone features a glossy finishing while its back is furnished with a matt finishing. It’s really hard to tell whether its back matt finishing benefits the phone or not. On one hand, its matt finishing prevents finger marks from sticking, while it also gives the phone a cheap appearance rather than an expensive look.

Viewing the phone from its top, its phone speaker and front facing camera can be found. Its 3.2” touch screen display dominates majority of the handset that utilizes 360×640 pixel resolution. And compared to Nokia’s earlier touch screen phones, the X6 is rather capacitive than being resistive which is definitely a positive step for the company as its touch screen’s ability to response is above excellent compared to the 5800.

In addition not only does its 3.2” screen provide 16:9 full-screen viewing, Nokia X6 also utilizes capacitive touch-screen technology, which makes the phone super responsive, responding to the lightest touch it receives from its display. Currently X6’s touch-screen display which throws in 16 million colors leagues ahead of N97’s touch-screen.

The phone’s call quality is also very good with the removal of its mic effectively removing background noise. It also gives a very clear sound even when using an earpiece.

Nokia X6 is built with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera complete with Carl Zeiss Tessar F/2.8-5.2lens providing a more accurate and sharp photo and video quality shots.

Although Nokia X6 can’t really be considered as a smart phone, it doesn’t mean that users can’t enjoy applications that smart phones enjoy. X6 can work perfectly with these apps due to its extended features that can support hundreds of applications that are readily available in Nokia Phone Centers. And at 111”x51”x13.88mm this superbly excellent music phone fits perfectly in anybody’s hand. That, of course, is a personal matter and best if you check it out yourself.

And finally, perhaps the most significant edge and main novelty of Nokia X6 as a music phone is its superb music features. X6 is considered as Nokia’s flagship music device, and so the company really went an extra mile in order to produce outstanding results, either from its built-in 3.5mm headphone jack, or from its stereo speakers.

Sony Ericsson Aino

Sony Ericsson Aino is Sony’s latest multimedia phone that is built with cutting edge features, and a wide 3 inch screen well packed into its white svelte colored exterior. Aino represents a breakthrough from the typical nomenclature of Sony Ericsson’s alphabetically arranged mobile names.
Design
Sony Ericsson Aino is a centric multimedia phone that belongs to the walkman line, and is undeniably attractive and sleek looking. The phone’s gear is covered in full white, accentuated with blue metal brushings. The phone is also built with a slider requiring only an opposable thumb to close and open it up. However, the phone is far from becoming the sturdiest phone in Sony Ericsson’s mobile bands.
The phone also appears longer and larger, and is a bit heavy with its 135g weight. Aino is built with a 3.0 inch screen together with a 16M TFT colors, providing the phone a neat screen and color quality. Closing and sliding the phone down transforms it into a sleek looking large screen perfect for viewing photos and watching movies, as there are no physical buttons that can be visibly seen. Aino also has peculiar touch screen functionality, and will only appear onscreen when the phone’s slider is shut off.
Situated on the phone’s left spine, a universal Sony Ericsson port can be seen for headphones and charging. Its right spine on the other hand is built with a quick camera and volume adjuster buttons.
When you crack open the phone its keypad can be viewed. The phone’s digital pad on its screen is situated directly below its display, and so are the phone’s short keys, cancel, and quick buttons. The phone’s call/end button is also situated here as well.
SE Aino also features sunken keypads which are not really as user friendly as its digital pad feature due to the modular plastic piece surrounding each of its keys. Furthermore, the absence of tactile feedback also makes navigating and texting a real hassle.
Sony Ericsson Aino includes a desktop docking cradle in its package, which instantly transforms the mobile Aino into an instant media player. Try docking the phone and it quickly plays videos or music from its speaker. The phone can also display photo frame slideshow, and radio as well.

Features
Sony Ericsson Aino utilizes the company’s operating system. The phone basically runs similar to Sony Ericsson phones only with an added 4×3 grid. You can expect a similar Media, functionality, Camera, Messaging, Internet, Location Services features and phone setup settings. Its built-in accelerometer supports wide type range of videos, pictures and web pages. Aino also features an onboard GPS and default Google Map. Its PIM functionality is extremely extensive for centric music phone, from its countdown timer, organizer, alarm, task, and notes.
Shutting the phone closed instantly transforms the phone into Multimedia Mode and will open onscreen touch screen functionality which includes a camera button, videos and FM radio, gallery, and music icons.
The phone is also features a simple music player and video which can support Quicktime files. As usual, the phone automatically sorts its music library by album, genre, artists and composer, and a search option to quickly find your music track.
And lastly, the phone supports a wide range of connectivity options ranging from Wi-Fi, EDGE/GPRS, 7.2 HSDPA, Bluetooth v2.1 built with A2PD, and a quad-band GSM connectivity for 850/900/1800, 1900MHz.
The company also boosts up Aino with PS3 remote connectivity play, where Aino can amazingly establish a remote connection to PS3 which allows to the phone to stream some of PS3’s data into the Aino.
Overall, it is already clear how keen Sony Ericsson Company was upon developing this phone. If you’re looking for a phone that can entertain you for hours, Sony Ericsson Aino is the right phone for you.

Nokia 5800 Music Review

Although the phone’s interface needs minor buffing, the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music still offers a seductive exterior appearance and loads of enjoyable features. Hundreds of multi-billion companies rushed in towards touch-screen phones, but some companies became cautious with the idea. Nokia for example may have taken some time before finally developing their line of touch-screen phones, but the delay was worth it.
Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, according to the company, was created to rival Apple’s Smart iPhone. 5800 is a decent phone that offers wide range of multimedia features that comes with a very sharp and slim package and dominating display screen.
Nokia 5800 shares a design similar to its iPhone rival and Samsung’s touch-screen phone, Omnia. The phone’s candy bar outline provides neat lining with rounded corners and burgundy and black color scheme. At 0.61 depths by 4.37 inches tall by 2.04 inches wide the phone becomes appears relatively petite as a touch-screen phone, although it is a bit thicker than most touch-screen phones today. But still, weighing in at 3.84 ounces the phone guarantees it won’t be weighing anyone down inside their pockets. In addition, 5800 also offers a sturdy, convenient, and comfortable feel in hand.
The phone’s touch-screen display measures 3.2 inches, which nearly makes the phone as big as Apple’s iPhone. It can support 16 million colors, that’s 640×360 pixels in exact, and is built with an aspect 16:9 ration. With this type of resolution, the phone’s colors become more vibrant and bright, and its photos and graphics also become bright. It also offers a convenient feature of adjusting the font size, brightness, and backlight timing depending on its user’s preference. Whenever the phone receives or makes a call, the 5800’s display will go dark when the phone is placed near the ear to conserve energy battery, and its brightness will also automatically adjust to different lighting environment.
Nokia 5800 Xpress Music also offers a standard menu system design, with its icons in grid format. For the most part, its submenus are equally intuitive, although it’s noticeable that Nokia didn’t optimize some of its interface in some of its application. Still, owing thanks to its accelerometer, users can easily, conveniently and freely shift between portrait and landscape menu views by simply rotating the 5800 down. Accelerometer also works in majority of the phone’s built-in application.
The phone’s display is also considerably responsive. Users can conveniently use their fingers to circum-navigate the phone or make use of its stylus. The phone’s dialer is built with large virtual buttons with large numbers for easy typing. Typing a message can be done in various ways. Its full QWERTY keyboard takes advantage of the phone’s display. It is spacious enough to use, just don’t forget that the display for typing messages is considerably small. The phone offers a separate board for numbers and symbols, and users can change the writing languages and language alphabets conveniently at the touch of the button. The phone also provides dedicated shift keys, back and returns buttons, and a large space bar.
Situated above the phone’s display screen, a small icon next to Xpress Music sign can be found. This may not be visible at first but actually by touching this small icon, it will open the dedicated multimedia menu onscreen where users can freely launch video, view photo, listen music, and more.
Located below the display are three controls: Menu Control, Talk Button, and End Button. This three key buttons are thin, but tactile. The phone is also built with an amazing volume rocker, a camera shutter, and handset-locking switch situated on the right spine of the phone.
Overall, Nokia’s 5800 Xpress Music phone is a good phone to buy and have. Although the phone’s responsiveness in some of its application do need some fix, it’s not really that annoying.

Even up to now we don’t know what the C Series is all about but this mobile phone is anticipated to be the downgraded version of the warmly-received Nokia N97. The Nokia C6 is just like the N97 but it lacks some certain features but does not diminish the over-all quality of the phone. Motorola Droid Review

Motorola Droid at first glance may appear contemporary in its design, which does not amount to much. The phones external structure is rather dull and its sharp pointed edges only provide a boxy image. But Motorola’s droid phone is not just your ordinary smart phone. It’s a smart phone with loads of surprises, the biggest having a sleek looking WVGA screen display. At 3.7 inches this smart phone surpasses even the great iPhone. The phone’s color support is also humble utilizing 16 million hues and 440×854 Pixel in its resolution. In addition, the phone’s vibrant color and the brightness of its display are certainly generous having sharp graphics and resolutions. The phone also provides itself well in welcoming Android 2.0’s updated interface.

Of course, built with a large screen display, Motorola Droid appears rather big with its 116”x60”x13.7mm dimension, but that’s still a small price to pay for its high-end features and top notching display. Users will notice how heavy the droid phone is, weighing in at 169g, when compared to other android phones, but its slim design keeps it the phone mobile. The phone also features an actual sliding motion which is quite stiff, even if its slider mechanism is a bit unusual.

Motorola Droid’s capacitive displays a quick and responsive touch-screen interface with an added multi-touch ability. Below the phone’s display four functional touch buttons can be seen: Menu, Home, Back and Search. All four of them share the same function similar to other Android phones, with the menu and search controls being the most useful. Its search control quickly launches and activates Google search with just one press, and the menu control opens relevant submenu commands for various features and phone modes. Although the phone’s touch controls are responsive, the only down thing about them is they are small. Still, the phone still offers a physical keyboard as an alternative which actually boils down to personal preference.

In a surprising change from its earlier version, the Motorola Droid does not feature a physical talk control. Instead, users have to access its calling function through the phone’s widget located in its display. The key control buttons are square rather than being round, but users can still access conveniently their voice mail, call log, favorites, and contact lists.

Upon opening the droid its physical keyboard can be seen in its display, and its screen default or customize orientation will also change automatically. Though many users will surely welcome droid’s physical keyboard, these keys are noticeably flush and squashed sharing only little space next to each other, making it difficult to type quick messages. Furthermore, although its buttons do provide a slight downward push, they are still a bit slick. Overall, the whole typing experience is better than T-Mobile G1, but typing is not really as comfortable as with Samsung and Cliq mobile.

The phone’s letters are considerably large and provide an adequate backlit for dialing when in dim lighted areas.  Its four rows of buttons do mean that common punctuation, numbers, and symbols double up with letters. Droid also features two different shift keys and two added Alt keys, an amply large space bar key, and search and menu controls.

Android’s virtual keyboard is largely similar to its previous devices, but Google quickly announced that it revamped the phone’s keyboard layout for a more accurate, faster and convenient typing. Many users will also be pleased with its 3.5 millimeter headset jack located on the phone’s high end.

The phone’s remaining physical controls is consists of a camera shutter and volume rocker located on its left spine. Its built-in micro-USB port is used for chargers and USB cables.

The phone’s board is domed, clearly backlit in white and is pleasantly tactile. Furthermore, the phone also features a dedicated CTRL button and some alternative key handle functions for quick application and feature launching.

Nokia E72 comes with 2.1 Nokia Email that can support IMAP, POP3, and MS exchange or MFE and Gmail as well. The phone’s keyboard and screen display dominates about the same font space, with jumbled Nokia-specific controls situated in the middle. Its central directional pad also departs from its previous model by offering two different functions: Users can either press its raised edge, or drag one of their fingers lightly across its middle dark key, which functions as an optical pad. Nokia calls this as Navi Key.

Located on the phone’s right-hand side volume control keys can be found, along with a voice key to conveniently access contacts and phone applications. Meanwhile, the phone’s left-hand side is built with a sealed-up microUSB port, and is considered as one of the most heavily recessed microUSB ports. Up top, users will find the phone’s power button and standard 3.5mm stereo rocker built for headphones. The bottom portion of the phone offers an extra charging port for pin-sized Nokia charger, but fortunately does not necessarily need to use since it also offers a much convenient way of charging the phone through its USB port.

Within the main menu of the phone is a media tab that gives a list of ten tabs. These tabs include radio, music store, media player, gallery, recorder, camera, share online, video and music center.

Finally, if you want a professional looking phone that’s pre-loaded useful features you should choose E72. Not only does the phone bring class in performance, it also provides an enjoyable mobile experience.

Form and Functionality Meet in LG GT 405

LG has recently released the new LG GT 405 and other middle range mobile phones at Amstelveen, Netherlands. The new products from the middle range phones have been significantly increased because it provides good entertainment and quality performance for the budget-conscious customers and that is the reason why they have become the third largest manufacturer of mobile phones around the world. The LG GT 405 is a candybar phone that fits perfectly into your palm. It is available in Black and White colors as said in the release.
The LG GT 405 boasts a 5-megapixel camera with digital zoom, autofocus and LED flash. These features make the mobile device a favorite for people who are hip and wants to take many snapshots or record videos wherever they maybe. The LED flash makes taking pictures in high resolution and be assured that quality pictures can be seen at the phone’s brilliant 3.0-inch screen that shows 256K colors in 240 x 400 pixels. If you are taking pictures from a trip abroad, the happenings with your friends, you can use the LG GT 405 as your digital camera because it offers good quality images that you can store in the MicroSD memory card expandable to 16GB. You can also store different files such as music track and games that you have previously downloaded. You can also edit your pictures if you want using its Photo Editor application. It has a 3D S-Class user interface that makes using the LG GT 405 much easier. It also has the widgets menu where you can personalize the standby screen of you mobile device. You can choose what applications are found in your home screen: it may be the calendar, the clock as well as the music player that is activated with just a few taps on the LG GT 405 TFT touch screen display. The mobile phone is equipped with Accelerometer sensor for UI which makes auto-rotate possible.
Speaking about music, you can listen to the handset’s music player and FM stereo radio when you don’t have anything to do and when you want to relax as it offers average sound quality. You just have to connect the mobile phone to the internet and download the files you want form a personal computer using the 2.0 USB port found on the side of the handset. But the battery life will obviously be shorter when you listen to them most of the time. This is one of the flaws that the LG GT 405 has.
The phone is a tri-band which runs on 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz so you can be confident that you will have a good conversation with your loved ones here and abroad. It also has EDGE and HSPDA capabilities that guarantee you will have a good time surfing the internet. But unfortunately, the phone does not have the WLAN capabilities. The internet surfing cannot become a sure fun frenzy because it has charges, depending on the pricing of the network provider.
Over-all, the new LG GT 405 is a phone that will suit all of the multimedia needs of people who are just looking for average mobile phones. There are flaws but there are more key features which makes this mobile phone unique and enjoyable for the users. After all, some people do not need the high-end mobile phones that can be very pricey; you need a deep pocket before you can buy those high-end phones. An economical phone like the LG GT 405 is a concrete example that a mobile phone that has the necessary key features is more than enough.
